INSTALLATION OF THE PROGRAM

32 bit operating system:

  • WinNT

  • Windows 9x

  • Windows 2000

  • Windows Me

  • Windows XP

The computer photo software needs to be installed in a folder named 32VerSee. It is possible to change the default folder during or after the installation of the program but in the name of the folder must remain the string "32VerSee". Although it is possible to change the folder after the software installation it is not recommended regarding the uninstall application.

The following subfolders of the computer photo program folder will be created and some sample image files will be placed in them for beginners to understand the instructions easily:

  • \Main
  • \Sequence
  • \Sequence\Example
  • \VerSeeBin

UNINSTALL OF THE PHOTO SOFTWARE

Cancellation of all the file extension associations before uninstalling the program is heavily recommended.

To uninstall the computer program use the add/remove programs option from the Windows panel control. If you change de application folder after the installation, to uninstall the software you will need to change back to the initial application folder.

 

FILE EXTENSIONS ASSOCIATION

Clicking or double clicking on a image file with an extension associated to the 32VerSee free imaging photo software in Windows Explorer will cause Windows to execute digital image program including the full path of the file as an argument. Then, 32VerSee computer picture program will display the image file.

Users may associate supported file extensions to the 32VerSee editor software in:

  • The Options item of the Windows Explorer View menu.
  • The Association tab of the Options form of the 32VerSee free program.

File extensions supported by the 32VerSee album digital photo software and not associated to any particular application will be associated during installation.

When the Send Last files to file menu box is checked, the last 16 images loaded or saved pictures will appear in the Last files item menu.

These menu items will display the photos, images or pictures on the main window of the 32VerSee free photo program. The difference between the command line or short cuts in Windows Explorer is that the latter will load the whole application and display the images.

File extensions associated with the free picture editing program will function like a command-line short cut.

WHAT’S THIS MODE

Cursor changes to a question mark and clicking on any object will display context-sensitive help on that object.

HELP SOURCES OF THE COMPUTER SOFTWARE 

Although 32VerSee is very user friendly, context-sensitive help is available throughout the picture viewer by:

  • Help menu of the main menu contains the Contents option and the What’s this? mode.
  • Clicking the Help menu when the cursor shows a question mark will display help on how to use the help application.
  • Pressing the F1 key will display context-sensitive help about a specific object. This is useful when main menu is displayed.
  • Right clicking on the toolbar This is the same as the What’s this? mode.
  • Pressing the F2 key. This is the same as the What’s this? mode.
  • Clicking on the Help toolbar button. This is the same as the What’s this? mode.
  • Right clicking on certain objects will display context-sensitive help like pressing the F1 key.
  • In addition to using the F1 key to access context-sensitive help for an item in a dialog box , users can click the question mark button on the title bar of a dialog box , and then click the item

 

OPTIONS OF THE PROGRAM

Association.

Users may associate supported file extensions to the free picture converter and 32VerSee will keep the previous association.

When unchecking these boxes 32VerSee picture converter will prompt users to confirm the restoring of the previous association.

When running an associated file in Windows Explorer, if the Send Short Cuts to Windows User Recent Folder box of the Options Form is checked, a short cut will appear in the Windows User Recent folder

Last Files.

The relevant check box of the Associate tab of the Options form activates the File menu items for the last pictures loaded or saved to be immediately displayed

Language.

The Misc tab of the Options form allows you to change the language of the Help application.
